Iran v Ghana Friendly Confirmed- UPDATE
Following on the recent news regarding their training operations, the GFA have moved quickly to secure more friendlies, securing a March 29 date with Iran’s Team Melli.
Some might call this arrangement bottom feeding, since international pariah Iran has been having great difficulty securing friendlies with more politically squeamish nations. Ghana have no such reservations, apparently, and are happy to get additional experience, a definite plus for the Black Stars given the lack of playing time the unit has shared together in 2006.
UPDATE: Also confirmed for May 26, a friendly versus the always amenable Belgians.
Other friendlies are apparently in the works, with negotiations at an advanced stage with Portugal, Colombia and reportedly Ukraine in addition to already scheduled Korea and Iran. Quite a lot of work ahead, but to be the best, one does have to beat the best.
[...] Iran and Ghana friendly is scheduled for March 29, however, no venue has been announced. [...]

Cool. Angola gets to see one of its opponents and we get to see Ghana lose. That will be a great day.
