Lest one think that Ghana is the home of all that is foul and putrid following yesterday’s performance, our pals at the New York Times have taken the perfect opportunity to remind us that football, while a part of Ghana’s storied sporting legacy, is just one part of its greater culture.

I get nostalgic just reading about street corner kelewele, the perfect snack after booting about in the street. Hopefully, this article will have a palliative effect sufficient to offset the purgative urges caused by yesterday’s action.
