Welcome Back- Stars to back out of Portugal?

Hello again all and sorry for the disappearance. Returning from a preview from the avian flu, I can only tell you it will be bad when it hits next year.

In more pressing news, however, on to the Stars. After getting many of our prospective hopes up about a training period in sunny, temperate Portugal, seems that the Stars are contemplating moving closer to Germany for their training after all.

Apparently Austria are interested in hosting the Stars gratis for their preparation for Germany. Given that Austria is closer in climate and location to Germany, that their is the potential to play friendlies with Bundesliga sides (especially some with Ghana players aboard), and that the offer is free, the GFA will be hard pressed to pass it up.

While I look on the offer with resignation after a thought of shadowing the Stars training while sleeping at a beachside villa, the peace and quiet of more sedate Austria will probably be good for training as well. Our lads could use the focus
