World Cup Players to Undergo Heart Tests

Apparently FIFA will now require extensive cardiovascular testing for all competitors in this summer’s World Cup. The move, which has not gone unpredicted given the recent spate of collapses throughout the world of sport, makes a certain sense. Given the Black Stars recent participation in competition this year, though, we should be worried. Well over half of the squad could be disqualified for lacking sufficient heart.
