Black Stars striker Mathew Amoah will go into next Sunday’s World Cup qualifier against Sudan in good form after scoring for his Dutch club at the weekend.

The 28-year-old was making his league return after suffering an ankle injury that kept him out of action for three weeks.

Amoah grabbed the second goal as he marked his return to the league from injury with a second-half goal in NAC Breda’s 2-0 over rivals Heerenveen in the Dutch top-flight.

But maybe Fulham’s Painstil would be playing in the Ghana – Sudan game with a horrible own goal on the back of his mind. The goal contributed to a 0-2 loss to Villa over the weekend ion England. Poor him.
