Ghana to Play Turkey, Jamaica and South Korea in Friendlies

March 27th, 2006 | By: WC Bob | 1 Comment »

The friendlies leading up to the World Cup are rounding into shape and things are looking pretty good for the Black Stars. Ghana will meet Turkey in Germany on May 26 and Jamaica in London on May 29 No venue for the match against Turkey has been announced. These two friendlies are in addition to the previously announced game against fellow World Cup finalists South Korea in Glasgow on June 4 before they head for the tournament in Germany.

Turkey is one of the top teams in the world and always present a difficult game. The Raggae Boyz of Jamaica are a physical team with a lot of pace. South Korea is a very fit team that has some quality young players. All in all this is a good group of diverse teams for Ghana to play.
