Eerily Quiet

March 6th, 2006 | By: Robert | 2 Comments »

Following what seemed to be a particularly action packed week, what with the Mexico Friendly, the stories raging about Doya’s ouster, contacts with Dutch legend Ruud Gullit about leading the new Stars and various other wild and wooly rumors, one would have expected this week to roar in like a lion with some actual follow up. Instead, there is little of substance doing on the action front from the GFA. If they don’t make a move soon, it will be back to idle speculation and calls for more friendlies (a call heard frequently of late in Accra bars and taverns) and perhaps the odd player profile.

Where have you read that Ruud Gullit is under consideration? That would be very interesting. Do you think he would be better than Doya?

Doya’s haters are legion. I do not count myself among them. Right now continuity matters most. Let Doya move to Qatar in August
