Halfway done…

June 22nd, 2006 | By: Robert | 3 Comments »

But far from over!

The Stars have not been at their Czech peak this afternoon, but certainly have not been slacking either, with Haminu Dramani’s strike and a Stephen Appiah penalty giving the Stars a 2-1 halftime advantage. Clint Dempsey scored the lone goal for the US.

If you root for the Stars and are not watching this, then you have no heart. But for those watching, I think we can all agree that Ghana have been the dominant factor in this game.

Second half substitutions? Does Sammy Kuffour merit a trip back onto the pitch (preferably for current goat Boateng)?

I agree that Boateng didn’t play very well today. I’m going to play arm-chair coach and suggest that Pappoe and Kuffour return to the back line. And move Paintsil to the midfield and try and fill Essien’s role. Draman goal was HUGE but i think that he would return to the bench for Muntari. And Otto Addo would replace Boateng. I would even play Pimpong again with Gyan, then bring Amoah at the half mark. Although he has played well maybe sitting for awhile will spark his hunger for the goal.
