Now That’s What I’m Talking About
Though it has been described as breathtaking, Ghana’s 4-1 victory over Jamaica was more a massive blast of fresh air under the sails of the Black Stars. The second consecutive strong performance by Ghana on the international stage has hopes up and may make a believer out of many in Germany. Already, fan interest in Ghana kits has increased by 10%.
The victory, sound and profound from beginning to end, was led again by the tight-knit and powerful Ghana midfield. Captain Stephen Appiah led the way again, with one shot leading to a deflected own goal, and a second goal in the second half. And while Michael Essien was repeatedly challenged physically by the Reggae Boyz, whose style of play is not dissimilar to Ghana’s own, he gave as much as he got.
All and all, a strong, if not masterful, performance and one on which the much maligned Doya should be congratulated. If this performance and level of intensity can be matched versus Korea this week, the Stars will enter the World Cup on a high note. The team the played yesterday versus US rival Jamaica could certainly give headaches to the US in three weeks.

The Black Stars still have some loose ends. The goalkeeper seemed uncomfortable with aerial balls. The revelation of the match for me is Dan Quaye the right full back who gave a masterful performance. The match started with 30 minutes delay because the reggae boyz got caught up in traffic. Their first half performance was very weak but they came back strong in the second half all kudos to the black stars for holding off the jamaican onslaught. This augurs well for the world cup. The central defence needs a little more tightening up though. But all in all a good performance.

First off, let me congratulate Ghana on a nice win over Jamaica. I agree that Ghana will give the US headaches, and ITA and CZE, too. Group E definitely is a Group of Death.
Having said that, I must also say that a couple of Ghana’s goals were due to some pretty sloppy goalkeeping by Jamaica. The keepers in Group E that Ghana will face - Buffon, Cech, and Keller - will be much tougher.
I am looking forward to some good matches this summer. Of course, I wish that the United States advances, but I think that it will be CZE and ITA who advance.
Good luck.

Ghana has the potential to cause majore upsets, however, it will require heart and will. If they really want it, they are very capable. That being said, WHERE CAN I WATCH THE GHANA FRIENDLY GAMES. INTERNET/TV. I’m in the US.

Italy beware of Ghana because we have seen it before. Senegal did it to france and this time around l beleive ghana can repeat the same thing after what they did to jamaica and s.korea. watch out guys.

It’s not impressive that Ghana beat South Korea or Jamaica, both very terrible teams. If anything is impressive, it’s Italy pounding teams like Holland and Germany before the World Cup. If they play like that, I think Ghana will have a long day.
