Testing their Mettle
In addition to next month’s friendly versus Mexico, Ghana have chosen another friendly to prepare themselves for Germany. The Black Stars will face Korea in late May, a potential final tune-up for both.
These friendlies should pose a good test, since both Mexico and Korea are hopefuls to advance into the knockout rounds of the tournament. Both squads should be well-fancied versus tiny and currently disorganized Ghana. Holding their own, therefore, would be a big boost heading into group play.
No word yet, though, on whether the tuneup will be on neutral soil, or whether Korean Ghana fanciers (holler back so that I know you are still out there) will get the rare opportunity to see the Stars in person.
